Für den neuen Audratic Podcast zeigt sich das kanadische Ambient-Dubtech Duo – Overcast Sound, alias Michael Pettit and Jamie Drouin, verantwortlich. Das Set ist dubby, deep und fluffig – richtig, richtig gut. Die beiden releasten bisher auf dem Silent-Season Netlabel, auf Untitled & After, sowie auf Rohs! Records. I’m lost in Music!

Congrats to Mixotic Netlabel! Seit 2005 versorgt uns das von Q-Man ins Leben gerufene Label mit feinsten Sets aus dem Netaudio-Bereich. Mit dabei waren/sind Headliner wie DJ L’embrouille, Cotumo, psyCodEd, Nadia Lind, Oliver Günsel, Tom Larson, Ronny Pries, Marko Fürstenberg, Kudu, Holger Flinsch und viele viele mehr. Mittlerweile ist man bei Release Nummero 200 angekommen und hier gibt es zum Jubiläum ein knapp 9 stündiges Set mit 200 Tracks aus CC-Veröffentlichungen in 2009. Wat nen Kracher. Auf die nächsten 200 und vielen Dank!

Während des 26. Chaos Communication Congress in Berlin gab es im Programm ein wunderbares Live-Set vom Kraftfuttermischwerk, welches mit Visuals von fALk – beamaz (Prototypen) untermalt wurde. Das Video-Rohmaterial stammt dabei von alten Super8-Filmen einer Indien Reise, die Ronny (kfmw) mal ersteigerte. Das Set und die Playlist dazu gibt es hier und wer Lust hat, sich die dub-chillige Musik ungemixt auf die Pladde zu ziehen, wird hier, in den Releases fündig. Den 74 minütigen Indian-Video-Trip könnt Ihr Euch in ordentlicher Qualität bei den Prototypen anschauen.

Where the hackers convened a time machine was installed. It was fed with pure lovely live music by Das Kraftfuttermischwerk and out came rhythmic visuals that showed a glimpse of the past – sadly the time space continuum was a bit glitchy and so the quality of the memory dump that was supposed to record the landmark event is subpar to the actual live happening. Still worth a short watch – especially with the sensational music.
